How to Exchange Gem Fragments in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred
In Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred, you can exchange 300 unwanted Gem Fragments for 200 Fragments of any particular Gem you need. Simply visit a Jeweler, tab over to Jewelry Crafting, open the Gem Fragments dropdown, and select the gem you’d like to craft.
GEM FRAGMENT CRAFTING MATERIALS
You’ll find that crafting Gem Fragments requires Fragments from 3 other Gems, but that’s the only resource cost. You can keep crafting as long as you have Gem Fragments — no gold or other resources are required.
The 3 types of Gem Fragments required depend on the Gem Fragments you want to make. To craft Topaz Gem Fragments, for instance, you need Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby Fragments. Crafting Diamond Fragments, on the other hand, requires Amethyst, Emerald, and Skull Fragments.
GEM FRAGMENT CRAFTING COST
In this Diablo 4 Gem Fragment crafting system, inputting 100 Gem Fragments from each required Gem results in 200 Gem Fragments of the desired gem. So, for every 300 unwanted Gem Fragments you provide, 200 of the Gem Fragments you desire come out.
Since you’re putting 300 Gem Fragments in and only getting 200 in return, you’ll eventually run out. You’ll also run out of the 3 Gem Fragments required to craft your desired gem faster than all the rest. It might be possible to produce more of the needed Gem Fragments from other undesired Gem Fragments, though.
MAKING MORE GEM FRAGMENTS FOR MATERIALS
You can craft more Sapphires for crafting Topazes, for instance, by converting Diamond, Ruby, and Skull Fragments into Sapphire Fragments. Since Ruby Fragments are also needed to make Topaz Fragments, however, you could end up accidentally running out of mats in the process of trying to make more.
GEM FRAGMENT CONVERSION IS HUGE FOR QOL
Previously in Diablo 4, it was possible to amass a huge number of Gem Fragments for Gems you would never use. Now, you can take those unneeded Gem Fragments and make them into Fragments of the Gems you actually need, sparing yourself a major grind while also putting waste materials to good use.
