New Treasure Goblin Drops Guaranteed Mythic — Fancy Old Fedric & Other New Goblins
Starting March 4th, 2025, 6 new Treasure Goblin types make their way into Diablo 4: Odious Ector, Gilded Baron, Glittering Prym, Curious Murl, Gelatinous Syrus, and — last but not least — Fancy Old Fedric, an extremely rare Goblin that drops both a Mythic Unique and a Resplendent Spark. Let’s dive into all the new Goblin types, how they tie into March of the Goblins, and the best way to find Fancy Old Fedric.
What Is March of the Goblins?
March of the Goblins is a periodic event in Diablo 4 involving increased Treasure Goblin spawn rates. This event features a reputation board that progresses as you defeat Goblins. While March of the Goblins increases your chances of encountering the new Diablo 4 Goblins, they’ll stick around even after the event is over.
Are the New Goblins Staying?
The new Goblins are here to stay! After March of the Goblins is over, their spawn rate will decrease, but you’ll still have a chance of finding the new Goblins every time you come across one. That even goes for Fancy Old Fedric.

Where Do Goblins Appear?
In Diablo 4, Treasure Goblins are most likely to appear in seasonal and event areas where lots of players and monsters are spawning. There are often seasonal features that offer increased rates of Goblin spawns. However, there are also two specific places where Treasure Goblins are more likely to spawn in Diablo 4 — Greed Shrines and Avarice the World Boss.
Greed Shrines can cause 3-5 Treasure Goblins to spawn before they run out. Avarice, the Gold-Cursed spawns Treasure Goblins every time it staggers. Aside from these two areas, simply stay where the monster density is high, and leverage seasonal mechanics.
New Goblin Type Details
Now that you know when and where to find them, let’s take a look at each of the new Diablo 4 Goblins in a bit more detail:
Odious Ector — Obducite
Drops Obducite (used for Masterworking) and other crafting materials.
Gilded Baron — Gold
Drops gold. Most similar to a traditional Treasure Goblin.
Glittering Prym — Gems, Runes, Tributes
Drops Gem Fragments, Runes, and both Undercity Tributes and Scattered Prisms once you reach Torment.
Curious Murl — Obols
Drops an Obol Cache called Murl’s Bag of Obols
Gelatinous Syrus — Splits, Legendaries
This new Goblin splits the more you kill. Each one drops gold, boss summoning materials, and Elixirs.
Fancy Old Fedric — Mythic, Resplendent Spark
The star of the show. Killing this bright-purple Goblin gives you both a Mythic and Resplendent Spark. Pretty lucky.
Best Fancy Old Fedric Farm
The best way to find Fancy Old Fedric is to wait for a Goblin-themed event like March of the Goblins and then spam seasonal activities. Otherwise, the overall spawn rate of Goblins is so low that you’re better off just farming seasonal activities or waiting for Avarice to spawn. Finding Fedric is meant to be a one-in-a-million experience, so don’t hurt yourself trying to track him down.
